Rebbe Steiner Sajele kerestir studied in Liska in the house of Reb Hershele Friedmann, where he absorbed the greatest Torah knowledge and wisdom. This knowledge led him to his great journey in the service of the community.

The spiritual center of Hasidism

Under Reb Hershele Friedman's leadership, Liska (Olaszliszka) became a spiritual center of Hasidism, drawing thousands who came to see him.

Heritage of Moshe Teitelbaum

Hershele's initial knowledge was acquired by Yismach Moshe, who was the Rebbe of Ujhely (Sátoraljaújhely).  As Teitelbaum’s successor, Hershele’s wisdom travels around the world every day.
